1. System Overview
The Lightning Basketball Photo Submission System allows community members to submit their favorite basketball photos for a chance to win prizes. Approved photos are posted to the Lightning Basketball Facebook page, where they compete for likes from the community.
How It Works
The process is simple:
- Submit your favorite Lightning Basketball photos
- Review - Our team reviews and approves submissions
- Post - Approved photos are posted to our Facebook page
- Compete - Photos with the most Facebook likes are considered for the prize

Prize Information
The prize information is displayed prominently on the homepage. This information is updated by administrators and shows:
- How many top photos will be considered
- What the prize is
- How winners are selected (based on Facebook likes)
Note: Prize information may change. Always check the homepage for the most current prize details before submitting.
2. Getting Started
2.1 Accessing the Submission Page
To begin submitting photos:
- Navigate to the Photo Submission homepage
- Read the Prize Information section to understand what you can win
- Review the How It Works section to understand the process
- Click the "SUBMIT YOUR PHOTOS" button

2.2 System Requirements
Before submitting, ensure you have:
- A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
- Photos in supported formats: JPEG, PNG, or WebP
- Photos under 10MB each
- A valid email address for notifications
3. Submitting Photos
3.1 Filling Out the Submission Form
The submission form is straightforward and user-friendly. Here's what you need to provide:
Required Information
- Your Name: Your full name (this will be associated with your photo)
- Your Email: Your email address (you'll receive notifications here when your photo is reviewed)
- Photo Upload: At least one photo is required
Optional Information
- Photo Title: Give your photo a title (e.g., "Team Celebration", "Game Action")
- Description: Tell us about your photo - what makes it special, when it was taken, etc.

3.2 Uploading Photos
You can upload multiple photos in a single submission:
- 1 Click the upload area or drag and drop photos directly
- 2 Select one or more photos from your device
- 3 Wait for photos to upload (you'll see thumbnails)
- 4 Add titles and descriptions for each photo (optional)
- 5 Remove any photos by clicking the X icon on the thumbnail

3.3 Reviewing Your Submission
Before submitting, take a moment to review:
- All required fields are filled out
- Your email address is correct (you'll need it for notifications)
- All photos uploaded successfully
- Photo titles and descriptions are accurate (if provided)
3.4 Submitting Your Photos
Once you're satisfied with your submission:
- Click the "SUBMIT PHOTO" button
- Wait for confirmation that your submission was received
- You'll see a success message
Important: After submitting, you cannot edit your submission. Make sure all information is correct before clicking submit.
4. What Happens Next
4.1 Review Process
After you submit your photos, they enter a review queue:
- Pending Review: Your photos are waiting for administrator review
- Administrator Review: A team member reviews your submission
- Decision: Your photo is either approved or rejected
Review typically happens within a few business days. You'll receive an email notification regardless of the outcome.
4.2 If Your Photo is Approved
When your photo is approved:
- You'll receive an email notification
- Your photo will be posted to the Lightning Basketball Facebook page
- The email will include a direct link to your Facebook post
- Your photo enters the competition for prizes

Competing for Prizes
Once your photo is on Facebook:
- Share the post with friends and family
- Encourage people to like your photo
- Photos with the most Facebook likes are considered for prizes
- Check the "Top Photos" section on the website to see rankings
4.3 If Your Photo is Rejected
If your photo is not approved:
- You'll receive an email explaining why
- The rejection reason will be clearly stated
- You can submit a different photo if you'd like
Common Rejection Reasons:
- Photo doesn't meet quality standards
- Photo is not related to Lightning Basketball
- Photo contains inappropriate content
- Photo doesn't meet submission guidelines

5. Frequently Asked Questions
5.1 Submission Questions
Q: How many photos can I submit?
A: You can submit multiple photos in a single submission. There's no limit to the number of submissions you can make.
Q: What file formats are accepted?
A: JPEG, PNG, and WebP formats are supported. Maximum file size is 10MB per photo.
Q: Can I edit my submission after submitting?
A: No, once submitted, you cannot edit. Make sure all information is correct before submitting.
Q: Do I need to create an account?
A: No account is required. Just provide your name and email when submitting.
5.2 Review Process Questions
Q: How long does review take?
A: Typically within a few business days. You'll receive an email notification when your photo is reviewed.
Q: Will I be notified if my photo is rejected?
A: Yes, you'll receive an email with the rejection reason.
Q: Can I resubmit a rejected photo?
A: It's better to submit a different photo, as the rejection reason explains why it wasn't approved.
5.3 Competition Questions
Q: How are winners selected?
A: The top photos with the most Facebook likes are considered by the committee for prizes.
Q: When will winners be announced?
A: Check the prize information on the homepage for current contest details and timeline.
Q: Can I see how my photo is ranking?
A: Check the "Top Photos" section on the website to see photos ranked by Facebook likes.
5.4 Technical Questions
Q: My photo upload failed. What should I do?
A: Check that your file is under 10MB and in a supported format (JPEG, PNG, or WebP). Try uploading one photo at a time.
Q: I didn't receive an email notification. What should I do?
A: Check your spam/junk folder. Also verify that you entered your email address correctly when submitting.
Q: Can I submit photos from my mobile device?
A: Yes, the site is mobile-friendly and works on smartphones and tablets.
